Fall Off The Bone Ribs

Fall Off The Bone Ribs

These ribs are so tender and delicious, they literally fall off the bone.  If you are wanting to cook up a nice meal for your honey this weekend, you can’t go wrong with these Fall Off The Bone Ribs!  These are also a great meal idea for a potluck, or if you are feeding a crowd.  The key to get these ribs so nice and tender, is cook them long and slow at the right temperature – 225 degrees is the magic number.

1.  In a large shallow dish, place 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup vinegar, and 1 tsp sea salt.  Lay ribs in dish meat side down.  Place in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.  Drain water.

2.  Preheat oven to 225 degrees.

3.  Mix seasoning ingredients together in a bowl, and brush evenly over the meaty side of the ribs.

4.  Wrap ribs in tinfoil, or place in a roasting pan with a lid, meat side down.  Cook in preheated oven for 4 hours.

5.  Remove ribs from oven, remove from foil, and drain any liquids.  Set oven temperature to 375 degrees.  Spread the ribs with your favourite BBQ sauce (I prefer homemade!), and return to oven for 20 minutes.

6.  Remove from oven, and serve with your favourite side dishes!
